Introduction to Needle Felting

This workshop is aimed at complete beginners to the art of needle felting, aged 16+. Held in the picturesque setting of Marbury Country Park in Cheshire you will learn about the basics of needle felting, fibres and their different properties and uses and how to create your own simple felted item that you can take home.  

This workshop will focus on the creation of a 3D shape using wool fleece that we will form into a simple felted animal/bird.

Included in this workshop:

  • All materials needed to make your own needle felted piece to take home. 
  • Use of all equipment needed to create your needle felted item
  • Written instruction as well as demonstration and guidance throughout the process of making your needle felted piece (classes are kept small to allow for enough individual attention when needed)
  • An introduction to the basics of needle felting techniques and the properties of some fibres that make felting possible
  • Refreshments included (drinks and biscuits)

The class runs from 10am until 1pm in the room adjoining the Ranger's office in Marbury Park.  Parking is available on site.
